Why not start my car?

Have you ever had your car only "die" on you, you try to start it and just will not start.  You end up calling a chariot and paying those big tow bills, then to make matters worse the technician at the shop tells you that cost hundreds of dollars to make it work again, is this true? Maybe maybe not.
I own and work as a diagnostics Tech here at Ace Automotive in Lakewood Wa and I can tell you from experience that if some people know just a little bit more about their functioning cars could save a whole lotta money.  Say for example you are driving at night cleaners and heater, lights and radio on you notice that the headlights, I keep getting dimmer and dimmer quickly vehicle "dies" and now does not start the most likely cause is the alternator failedWhy not the battery if the battery failed the alternator would still be able to hold the vehicle until turned off, then wouldn't restart.
Driving for a while and just "closes" all lights are lit tool, but when you try to start it just runs but does not start. First, it depends on what type of machine, this happend in an imports as say Honda, acura, toyota, subaru, nissan, mitubishi engine timing belt may have broken (if you have more than 60,000 miles since you changed the last time) you should be able to say when you try to start the engine sounds different as his own "wheel" faster than normal, this is bad because most car import mentioned will make costly engine damage when the timing belt breaks.
If the vehicle is a domestic one chevy ford ect, be patient wait maybe a little 30-45 min and try to start it if it starts cheers! But it will "die" once that is hot enough, once again, be sure to tell the local technology and ask these valuable information for all parties which replace to repair your vehicle to let them know that something about the car you know too.
